Ah, tricky question. We are not experts at gluing stuff (except fingers to nearly anything). However, when we need gluing advice we use ThisToThat's glue tool. Simply select what two materials you want to attach and click the “Let’s Glue” button. Some tips:

1. Use steel wool or a wire brush to rough up the surface of the metal before applying glue.
2. We have had success attaching vinyl and fabric with 3M 77 spray adhesive.
3. While drying, apply pressure with weights (boards, books, etc) to surface to help set the bond.
