Order, Shipping, Return Policies

Payments

  • We accept payments via PayPal and credit card.
  • Credit cards accepted: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
  • Order processing is secure. Read our Privacy and Security policies for more details.
  • Sales tax is added to Washington State addresses. Tax rate is based on destination.


Discounts

  • We offer volume discounts for an order when large quantities of the same product are requested.
  • Some products may not have volume discounts. Products that qualify for discounts are indicated on their respective product pages in the store.
  • Volume discounts are as follows:
    • 05-09 (5% off)
    • 10-14 (10% off)
    • 15-19 (15% off)
    • 20-29 (20% off)
    • 30+    (30% off)
  • The discount is calculated by multiplying the item price by the discount and rounding to the nearest cent. That amount is subtracted from the item price and multiplied by the specified quantity to get the final, discounted price.
  • Discounts are automatically calculated and applied to the totals in the cart when the quantity is met.
  • Discount orders may take longer than the usual 1-2 business days to fulfill. If this is the case, we will notify you how long the delay will be.


Backorders

  • We allow backorders on some products so you are guaranteed to receive the product when we build a new batch.
  • Backordered products are indicated with a "[BACKORDER]" flag next to the product title in the cart and on the order.
  • Backorder products are charged at checkout.
  • If your order contains a backordered product, your order will not ship until the backordered product is available to complete the order.
  • Backorder items usually ship within 2-3 weeks. If there is a longer delay, we will let you know.

Limited Release Products

  • Some products in our store are sold as a "Limited Release". This means only a certain number are to be built and sold. The number to sell and the number remaining are indicated on the product's project and store pages next to the "Buy Now" and "Add to cart" buttons, respectively. Learn more.
  • The final, actual number sold may slightly exceed the advertised number to sell due to network latencies or contention.
  • Limited release products may have a maximum allowed per order to help give everyone a chance to purchase one. If you want more than allowed per order, you may place multiple orders. We do not combine shipping on multiple orders.
  • Backorders are allowed on limited release products to guarantee you get one before our production limit is reached.

Shipping

  • We ship orders within 1-2 business days from the time payment is made.
  • If you require insurance then you will need to add shipping insurance to your cart before checkout.
  • Report damaged or missing packages within 14 days of scheduled delivery date.
  • Make sure your address is correct. If your package is returned because of insufficient/incorrect address you will be responsible for reshipping fees.
  • Total shipping costs for orders include both shipping and handling charges.
  • If you have a tracking number, you can check tracking status in your Lab 424 account, or at the USPS tracking page.

  • Domestic Orders:
    • United States and its associated territory orders are shipped via the United States Postal Service:
      • First-Class Mail:
        • Estimated delivery is 1 - 3 days.

      • Priority Mail:
        • Estimated delivery is 1 - 3 days.
        • Tracked.
        • Uninsured. Add insurance?
      • Priority Mail Express:
    • An email with your delivery confirmation or tracking number is sent when each order is shipped.
  • International Orders:
    • International orders are shipped Airmail via the United States Postal Service:
      • First-Class Mail International:
        • Delivery varies by destination, and may take up to 30 days to some regions.
        • Tracking varies. The USPS provides tracking for First-Class International shipments to the following countries: Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Ireland, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, and Switzerland. All other countries do not currently have tracking.
        • Uninsured. Add insurance?
      • Priority Mail International:
        • Estimated delivery is 6 - 10 days. Some regions may take longer.
        • Tracked. Tracking details may vary from country to country.
        • Insured via indemnity. Add additional insurance?
      • Priority Mail Express International:
        • Estimated delivery is 1 - 5 days. Some regions may take longer.
        • Tracked.
        • Insured up to $100. Add more insurance?
    • We will send you an email with your customs and (if applicable) tracking number when each order is shipped
    • We do not devalue package contents.
    • International orders may be subject to import fees which are outside our control in addition to shipping costs.
    • Customs in your country may hold your package without notifying you, expecting you to contact them to pick it up. Be sure to contact your local Post Office when delivery is expected if necessary. You will need your customs number to claim your package. If your package is returned you will have to cover the cost of re-shipping.
    • We will ship to nearly any international country. If your country does not show up in our cart/checkout, let us know using our contact form so we can fix it for you.


    Returns and Replacements

    • Returns and replacements require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number within 14 days of receipt. We’ll refund or replace your purchase after we receive the returned product.
    • RMA numbers are valid for thirty (30) days from date of issue.
    • We will not accept nor be responsible for any returned product without an assigned RMA number.
    • Refunds will be for the amount you paid for the item minus shipping and handling charges.
    • You are responsible for shipping charges and insuring any product shipped or returned to us. The RMA number must be clearly printed on the RMA slip and on the exterior of the shipping container.
    • If you don’t like an item you may return it provided it is in new condition. You need to request an RMA number within 14 days of receipt.
    • If an item is damaged or missing, you need to contact us within 14 days of receipt so we can fix the problem. Depending on the situation, we will issue an RMA with further instructions or just send you a replacement.
    • We don’t provide refunds or replacement parts for partially assembled projects. Sorry.
    • If a package is returned to us as undeliverable, we will refund your payment minus shipping and handling charges.
